Well-appointed

The apartment consists of a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, sauna and sleeping alcove (reduced headroom) with space for up to two or three people. A sofa bed in the living rooms sleeps additionally two people. Note that the stairs up to the sleeping alcove is steeper than normal.

The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, pots, utensils, cups, dishes and glasses and other things you find in a kitchen. The bathroom has a washing machine, shower, sauna and hairdryer.

The apartment also features a TV and free Wi-Fi.

Location

The apartment is located at Jordfallet in Øvre Alta, an area with a small number of privately owned houses in which families live. It is approx. 5 km from downtown Alta. The suite is located in a quiet area where you can explore the surrounding pine forest, the mountains behind the suite or stroll along the banks of the Alta River. One of the river’s best fishing spots, Forebygninga, is just 200 m away. The Glød Botique Apartment is situated beside the Aurora Canvas Domes and the Glød HQ.

Base for  tours

The Boutique Apartment are the perfect place to stay if you are going on one of our tours. It’s also an excellent option if you want to explore the area on your own on by hiking, biking, snowshoeing or skiing.

If you are going on a trip with other operators, you can arrange to be picked up from the suite.

The most convenient way of getting to us, is by Taxi. If you download the TaxiFix app, you can even book your taxi in advance.

Breakfast

Breakfast can be included in the price.  We recommend that you upgrade your stay by booking our breakfast consisting of freshly baked rolls, delicious locally sourced spreads/toppings, juice/milk and freshly brewed coffee. Served in the GLØD lounge.

The apartment is well appointed and ideal for self-catering. The closest supermarket is 3 km away. If you have a rental car or enjoy walking or cycling then it’s no problem to do your own shopping, otherwise we can assist you to arrange transport.

Dinner

We offer a three-course dinner every night (set menu). The dinner is served in the GLØD lounge. Our specialities are fresh cod and halibut, salmon, moose, lamb, reindeer and king crab. Dinner  at GLØD must be pre-booked, by email, or online when booking your accommodation.

Other options are Trasti&Trine, Sorrisniva, Sami Siida, Du Verden, Stakeriet, Brasserie Nord, Restaurant Alta, Wing Wah House and Brasserie Alta. We will help you arrange transfers either with us or by taxi.

Accommodation for up to six guests

The apartment has one bedroom with space for four people. The bedroom is in the loft, where the ceiling height is lower than in a normal room. This makes it very cosy, although some guests find the stairs a bit steep. The apartment also has a comfortable sofa bed in the living room, which can sleep up to two guests.
