This experience will certainly bring a smile to your face as you race through the frozen and snow-covered winter landscape along Alta’s many excellent fatbiking trails.

If you start your fatbike adventure from GLØD HQ, you will discover many excellent opportunities – on the road, dog sledding trails and special fatbiking trails. That’s why we recommend you start your fatbike trip at GLØD HQ.

We also offer fatbikes for children.

Headlamp

In the dark, the light from the powerful Lupine headlamp will make the experience unproblematic – and cool! The powerful illumination (1,200 lumens) lights up the terrain completely! You can also rent headlamps from us.

Helmet

A helmet is included in the rental price.

GPS and maps

You can also choose to rent a GPS with all maps for Finnmark county pre-programmed. If you want printed maps, we can print these out free. The GPS includes many trails and paths in the Alta Valley. We recommend this option!

Three options for picking up your rental bike and equipment:

1. You make your own way to GLØD HQ to pick up your bike and equipment.
2. We deliver the bike and equipment in Alta 09:30 (9.30 a.m.) at Scandic Alta or Altafjord Gjestegaard og Spa.
3. We pick you up in Alta 10.00 (10 a.m.) at Scandic Alta or Altafjord Gjestegaard og Spa and take you to GLØD HQ, where we can adjust and deliver your bike and equipment. You can then start your fatbiking experience at GLØD HQ.

Rented products must be returned no later than 09.00 (9 a.m.) the following day.
