We rent out mountain bikes, fatbikes and road bikes.

Mountain bikes

For mountain biking, we offer rental of the full suspension Trek Fuel EX 8 a dream trail performer!

With the GX Eagle group from Sram, 29 inch wheels and 130 mm Fox suspension forks, this bike handles every challenge with complete naturalness!

It is easy to ride, stable and will put a smile on your face!

We also rent bikes to people participating in Offroad Finnmark and other MTB competitions.

Road bikes

When you are riding on the road, it’s preferable to have a bike that is light, rigid and easy to ride and is equipped with mudguards and a luggage rack to attach bags and the like.

In collaboration with Tromsø Outdoor, we have chosen Merida Speeder 200 D. This bike is very easy to ride, responsive and strong enough to be able to load a lot on. It’s fine on gravel roads too.

Our road bikes are equipped with speedometer, odometer and pump.

The bikes can be equipped with panniers and racks for gear.

Fatbike

Two types of fatbikes; Nakamura and Hard Rocx. Both very suitable for the conditions you will meet in the European northernmost biking area.

Helmet

Helmet is included in the rental price

GPS and maps

You have the option of renting a GPS with all maps of Finnmark pre-programmed or taking a paper map, which we will print free of charge. By the way, the GPS has many paths and tracks in Alta pre-programmed – and comes highly recommended!

Pick up

Three options for picking up your bike and equipment

1. You provide your own transport to GLØD HQ and pick up your bike and equipment
2. We deliver bikes and equipment in Alta at 09:30 (Scandic or Altafjord Gjestegaard og Spa).
3. We will pick you up in Alta at 10:00 (Scandic or Altafjord Gjestegaard og Spa), and transport you to GLØD HQ, you can pick up your bike and equipment and we can do any necessary adjustments. You start your mtb adventure from GLØD HQ.

 

Rented product must latest be delivered back at 09.00AM the next day.
